The MOGA universal driver makes it easy to use your MOGA controller with your Android device.

Mobile gaming is the fastest-growing segment of the video game industry, and mobile gaming is evolving beyond tap and swipe controls to support true game controllers. MOGA is a company that designs game controllers that are specifically intended for use with smartphones and tablets.

This app by MOGA is a driver that facilitates communication between your controller and your Android device. It’s universal in the sense that it supports every controller that MOGA has developed. There are a number of different options on the market. The Pro controller, for instance, provides an experience similar to an Xbox One controller, and the Ace Power controller actually houses your smartphone and provides an experience similar to what Nvidia delivered with the Shield.

With every product MOGA has developed, it has set out to make it convenient. A mobile controller can’t be a hassle. It just has to work. That’s what this driver seeks to do. It’s simple to install. It self-configures, and while you can configure it further, most users won’t need to. Once installed, it just works, which means that it auto-detects controllers connected via Micro-USB, Bluetooth or whatever.

This universal driver also supports all controller features automatically, and if you have multiple controllers available at the same time, it will handle that as well. Features will vary from one model to the next but can include analog sticks, shoulder triggers, shoulder buttons, directional pads, action buttons, rumble feedback, battery detection and so on and so forth.

Be aware that this is not technically a universal driver. In this context, the term universal is generally reserved for a device that will support basic functionality with all devices in a family. This app will not do that. It does not work with Xbox One and DualShock 4 controllers, for instance. It works with all controllers MOGA has released and should be forward-compatible with upcoming releases as well.
